By A Staff Reporter, Kathmandu, Mar 22: Ministry of Home Affairs Sunday made mandatory provision of staying in self-quarantine to every Nepali citizen entering to Nepal from Indian borders.
Issuing an internal circular in the name of District Administration Offices and Nepal Police and the Armed Police Force, the Home Ministry instructed them to make a monitoring provision whether the individuals were staying in self-quarantine or not.
Kedar Nath Sharma, joint secretary and spokesperson at the Ministry said that the direction was issued to control the coronavirus pandemic.
He said the concerned District Administration Offices were given responsibility also to keep the record of every Nepalis entering to Nepal from the southern borders.
The decision was taken after Nepal side officials commented the Nepalis entering from India were not found willing to stay in self-quarantine.
