Kathmandu, Sept 5: The Ministry of Home Affairs has expressed its objection to the happening of activities capable of jeopardising friendly relations with neighbours.
In a press note today, the Ministry said its serious attention has been drawn towards the activities like chanting slogans, holding demonstrations and burning effigies, eroding the prestige of the prime minister of neighbouring friendly nation since the past few days.
"The Government of Nepal wishes to further consolidate ties with all its friendly nations. The Ministry is committed not to allow the happening of any activity against any nations on Nepali territory and thus one and all are urged not to carry out any activities capable of hurting the sovereignty and dignity of any friendly nations," the press note further reads.
Stating that issues with the neighbouring countries are being resolved through dialogue and diplomatic means, the Ministry said in a statement that such kinds of problems would be resolved through talks and diplomatic means in the future as well.
The Ministry has also warned that action would be taken against those who found engaging in activities against the friendly nations and taking the law into their own hands.
Earlier on Friday, the Ministry had, through a press statement, appealed to one and all for not carrying out any activities that harmed the relations with neighbouring countries.
It had objected to negative comments and remarks that came directly and indirectly through media and social media targeting the development projects supported by the friendly nations, people working in these projects, foreign nationals and their properties, urging not to engage in such acts and not to let them occur as well.
