Kathmandu, Feb. 25: The Ministry of Home Affairs has formed an investigation committee to study the security situation, weaknesses and improvements at the Tribhuvan International Airport.
The ministry has stated that a committee has been formed to investigate the incident of a person arriving on a Nepal Airlines flight to Qatar without a passport or visa on February 21 has been brought to attention.
Stating that this is a very sensitive issue from the point of view of security, the ministry has formed a nine-member investigation committee under the coordination of the director-general of the immigration department.
Home Ministry Joint Secretary and Spokesperson Fadindra Mani Pokharel informed that the committee has been given time to prepare the report within seven days.
