Kathmandu, Nov. 4: The Ministry of Health and Population has said it has forwarded the process for procurement of six million doses of Pfizer vaccines targeting the adolescent population.
According to Ministry Spokesperson Dr. Krishna Prasad Poudel, the Ministry was done with the internal preparations for the procurement with the help of the World Bank and it would be soon sending a file to this end to the Office of the Prime Minister and the Council of Ministers.
“The prevention and containment of COVID-19 pandemic is the top priority of the government and the inoculation campaign against it is taking place accordingly,” the Spokesperson said, making it clear that the vaccine procurement process was not stuck at the Council of Ministers.
In a press statement today, the Ministry said the news reports that the process got stalled at the Council of Ministers were beyond the reality.
