By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Apr. 28: The government has withdrawn some 15 cases of 120 individuals related to Terai-Madhes movement.
The government took the decision as the talks with the Janata Samajwadi Party (JSP) is going on and the JSP has been demanding withdrawal of the cases against its leaders and cadres.
Parbat Gurung, the government spokesperson and Minister for Communications and Information Technology, informed about this today at a press meet organised to make public the decisions of the Cabinet.
Minister Gurung also informed that the process to withdraw other cases related to Madhesh movement and Netra Bikram Chanda led Nepal Communist Party were underway.
The withdrawal of the cases were made on the basis of the constitution, laws and guidelines pertaining to case withdrawal, said Minister Gurung, name list of the withdrawn cases and individuals will be made public.
