Kathmandu, Mar. 31: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli on Tuesday said that social security allowance would be increased from the next fiscal year.
Speaking at a programme organised to mark the 23rd anniversary of the Reporter’s Club Nepal, Prime Minister Oli said the social security allowance would be increased from mid-July this year, the beginning of the next fiscal year.
“We have done a lot of work in the area of social security, including social security based on personal contribution,” said Prime Minister Oli.
The social security allowance will be increased even if some people disagree with the decision, said Prime Minister Oli.
Prime Minister Oli also said that more than Rs. 5 billion would be distributed for infrastructure development of 5,000 schools in the coming fiscal year.
“The country has already moved ahead in all sectors, including health and education, and will advance further ahead,” he said, adding, “Prosperous Nepal, Happy Nepali is not a slogan but the goal of the government.”
