By TRN Online, Kathmandu, May 22: The meeting of Council of Ministers held on Friday midnight has decided to dissolve the House of Representatives and declare a mid-term election.
Following President Bidya Devi Bhandari's decision to reject the claim submitted by Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli and Chairman Sher Bahadur Deuba to form a majority government, the meeting of the Council of Ministers took the decision to this effect.
Spokesperson of the government and Minister for Communications and Information Technology Parbat Gurung said, "We have recommended holding the first phase election on November 12 and second phase on November 19."
