Kathmandu: Jan 13: Minister for Communications and Information Technology Gyanendra Bahadur Karki has said that the government has mobilized the entire mechanism to control coronavirus infection.
He said that the coronavirus infection rate has increased in recent days. Minister Karki, who is also the spokesperson of the government, made this known through the social network Facebook on Thursday.
"Coronavirus infection rates have risen sharply in recent days," Karki wrote on Facebook. "The government has mobilized the entire mechanism to control corona infection."
He said that the government is committed to saving the lives of the people and the vaccination campaign was intensified. "The government is committed to protecting the lives of citizens," Karki said.
Minister Karki has requested the general public to adopt health standards. "I urge the general public to adopt health standards as well," he wrote on Facebook.
The government has tightened access to Singha Durbar with effect from Thursday after the number of corona cases increased by 9 per cent across the country last year alone.
As the risk of infection increases, the Ministry of Education has decided to close the school till January 29.
