Kathmandu, Feb. 27: Ministry of Home Affairs (MoHA) has formed a nine-member probe committee headed by Director General of the Department of Immigration (DoI) to investigate into the incident in which a passenger boarded a plane without passport and air ticket.
According to a press statement issued by the Ministry bearing the signature of Joint Secretary Phadindra Mani Pokhrel on Friday, the Ministry’s attention has been drawn towards the incident and it has directed the officials to submit an investigation report within seven days including recommendation of action against the concerned authorities.
The government has formed the committee five days after the incident.
On February 21, a man was found boarding Nepal Airline Corporation’s (NAC) airbus which was about to fly to Doha of Qatar after evading the security check without carrying his passport, visa stamp and air ticket.
