Kathmandu, Nov 20: Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Defence Ishwar Pokhrel has appealed to investors in the United Arab Emirates to invest in Nepal.
He further said that security of investment was guaranteed legally.
DPM Pokhrel, on an official visit to the UAE, met with the Chair of Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry and shared that the government does not discriminate between domestic and foreign investors.
There was investment board led by the Prime Minister to facilitate investment in big projects, tax rates had been reformed, special economic zone set up and a facility had been made to take returns from investment in foreign currency, Pokhrel added.
Stating that the UAE was the third largest business partner of Nepal, DPM Pokhrel urged for help in decreasing the trade deficit by increasing import of agro products, pashmina, ornaments and other goods from Nepal, according to his press coordinator Lokendra KC.
