By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Feb. 4: Lives of people across the nation have been affected due to the nationwide general strike called by Nepal Communist Party (NCP) Prachanda-Nepal-led faction.
Spokesperson of Nepal Police Basanta Bahadur Kunwar informed The Rising Nepal that 157 shutdown enforcers were nabbed in the Kathmandu Valley alone.
"Trucks were vandalised in areas outside the valley such as Hetauda and Narayanghat while a taxi was torched at Samakhusi in Kathmandu this morning," said Kunwar.
He added that 14 vehicles including one government-owned vehicle were vandalised in various places across the nation. "A few public vehicles are in operation in the Valley with police officials for security," said Spokesperson Kunwar.
The NCP Prachanda-Nepal faction had called the general strike against the appointment in various constitutional bodies.
