Fourth COVID-19 patient had travelled to Dhangadi via Nepalgunj, Kohalpur and Ataraiya

By Prakash Bikram Shah, Dhangadi, Mar. 28: Seti Provincial Hospital has said that the health condition of 34 year old man who had tested positive for COVID-19 on Friday was normal.

The hospital clarified that it was not negligent in terms of providing treatment to the patient.

The COVID-19 patient has been kept in an isolation ward in the hospital.

The patient had landed in Nepal from Dubai via New Delhi on March 20.

The patient's body temperature is 97 degree Fahrenheit and he has been suffering from normal cough and cold, informed the hospital by issuing a press statement on Saturday.

Stating that the treatment at the hospital was not reliable, the patient side has demanded to receive treatment from Kathmandu-based hospitals.

He had landed in Kathmandu from an aircraft of Emirates on March 20 at 4:30 PM. He had stayed in his uncle's house on that day.

According to his relatives, the patient had flown to Nepalgunj from Kathmandu by Buddha Air flight and then reached to Kohalpur in an auto-rickshaw.

He then went to Atariya on a micro-bus and finally his hometown, Dhangadhi by a public bus.
Durga Prasad Joshi, director of Seti Provincial Hospital, said that discussions were being held with the doctors to provide quality treatment to the patient.

We have been trying to keep relatives of the patient in isolation at the same hospital, said Nrip Bahadur Bad, Mayor of Dhangadhi Sub-Metropolitan City.

Likewise, Yagyaraj Bohara, Chief District Officer of Kailali district, said that the samples of his family members would be sent to Kathmandu on Saturday for the virus test.
