By Deepak Gyawali, Butwal, Apr. 19: The recent political developments in Lumbini Province have been moving swiftly after a no-confidence proposal was filed against Chief Minister of Lumbini Province Shankar Pokharel earlier today.
Following the registration of the no-confidence proposal at the provincial assembly secretariat, two ministers of NCP (Maoist Centre) had resigned from their positions.
Meanwhile, Chief Minister Pokharel has been preparing to appoint four ministers in addition to the vacant ministerial position, informed a source at the Chief Minister’s office.
According to the Chief Minister’s secretariat, the ministers will be taking the oath of office and secrecy today at 4:00 pm. It has been said that leaders Santosh Pandey, Bijaya Yadav, Kalpana Pandey, and Suman Rayamajhi will be assuming the ministerial position.
Of the four leaders, three except for Kalpana Pandey had signed in the no-confidence proposal.
Prior to this, Minister for Internal Affairs and Law Kul Prasad KC and Minister for Social Development Sudarshan Baral had resigned from their positions after signing in the no-confidence proposal.
