By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Mar. 21: Foreign Minister Dr. Narayan Khadka will participate in the 5th Summit of the Bay of Bengal Initiative for Multi-Sectoral Technical and Economic Cooperation (BIMESTEC) being held in Sri Lanka.
A meeting of the Council of Ministers held today made a decision to this effect.
Government spokesperson and Minister for Communications and Information Technology Gyanendra Bahadur Karki informed that the Cabinet also decided that Foreign Secretary Bharat Raj Paudyal will also be in the Nepali delegation to the BIMESTEC Summit.
The Foreign Minister will fly to Sri Lanka on March 30.
The Cabinet also decided to allow the delegation head to sign in the BIMESTEC charter on behalf of Nepal.
Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba will address the Summit virtually.
