By Janu Pandey, Kapilvastu, Dec. 2: President Bidya Devi Bhandari has urged all to take precaution against the novel coronavirus particularly at this time when a new variant of the virus, omicron, has spread in other countries.
She said so while addressing the 27th Dhandhanyanchal Mahayangya organised by the Kailash Ashram here at Banaganga-2 in Kapilvastu district today.
The Head of the State suggested everyone to follow health protocols to check spread of the virus as omicron might spread in Nepal too, although no case of omicron has been detected in the country so far.
She also underlined the need for working on cultural and natural conservation and lauded the government initiative to this end.
President Bhandari also underscored the importance of preserving Chure area and urged all to pay attention to protection of Chure area while carrying out development works.
