Kathmandu, April 11 : A meeting of top leaders of the five-party ruling alliance is underway regarding the collaboration in upcoming local-level elections.
The meeting taking place at official residence of the Prime Minister at Baluwatar would hold further discussion on preparation of local-level election and decisions taken by election monitoring mechanism.
The meeting of the election monitoring mechanism held on Sunday decided to move ahead as per the aspiration of five-party alliance and mutual coordination in coming local polls. The ruling coalition had formed the election monitoring mechanism under the coordination of senior leader of the Nepali Congress, Ram Chandra Poudel.
Similarly, the meeting also decided to send the name of candidates for local-level election in centre by forging consensus within April 13 by the provinces and districts.
Member-Secretary of the mechanism and Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba's legal expert, Keshav Raj Joshi, shared that top leaders of the alliance would make joint appeal on the contemporary issues including local-level election.
