By Shesh Kanta Pandit, Kathamandu, Nov. 27: The election process will start before the 14th general convention of the Nepali Congress is formally inaugurated.
Although the inaugural program of the General Convention will be held on December 10, the election process will be started on December 7.
Secretary of the party's Central Election Committee and Advocate Jagannath Shrestha informed that the election process will start even before the formal process of the General Convention begins.
The list of delegates to the General Convention will be made public first under the election process. Before that, all the districts will have to complete the regional convention. All wings, well-wishers and various public relations committees abroad will also have to submit the list of delegates to the General Convention.
The nomination process of party office bearers and central member candidates is likely to start on December 8 and 9. But the Election Committee has not made a formal decision on the issue. He informed that this will be finalised on December 7 and the election schedule of the General Convention will be made public.
