Kathmandu, Jan 1: Nepali Congress leader Prakashman Singh has said that the effect of dissolution of the House of Representatives has been seen in provincial and local governments.
Addressing the six municipal assembly of Gokarneshwor municipality here today, NC leader Singh shared, "The incumbent government having around two-thirds majority dissolved the House of Representatives due to internal dispute of the party. Its effect has been seen in all provincial and local governments. The Prime Minister dissolved HoR using the power which he didn't have."
He further said that the government also failed to carry out effective measures to control coronavirus.
Also the member of dissolved HoR, Singh opined that Gokarneshwor municipality should be involved to develop it as a model municipality keeping the religious, cultural and natural heritage of the municipality in centre.
President of NC, Kathmandu, Sabuj Baniya, expressed the view that local levels have made great strides in development construction due to good coordination between the people and people's representatives.
Member of Bagmati Provincial Assembly, Tshiring Dorjee Lama, among others laid emphasis on the need of uniting all for the development of Gokarneshwor.
On the occasion, Mayor Santosh Chalise presented a draft prepared about the development of Gokarneshwor municipality.
