Kathmandu, Nov 13: Minister for Education, Science and Technology Giriraj Mani Pokhrel is attending the 40th Session of the UNESCO General Conference representing Nepal.
During the Session underway at the UNESCO Headquarters at Paris, France, the Minister is scheduled to address on the issues related to Nepal's progress in education sector, higher education and inclusion which are covered by the SDG 4.
He will also sit for discussions about the UNESCO's assistance in Nepal and its sustainability. He is scheduled to address the Session on coming November 16.
The leader led an eight-member team comprising education secretary, Mahesh Prasad Dahal, Nepal's permanent representative for the UNESCO, Dipak Adhikari, assistant General Secretary at the Nepal National Commission Secretariat for the UNESCO, Khaga Raj Poudel and chairperson of the Nepal Teachers' Association Rajendra Raj Poudel to the General Assembly attended by representatives from 193 countries.
The General Assembly with the theme of 'A global laboratory of ideas to future multilateral cooperation' will run from November 12 to 27.
