Kathmandu, Nov 19: The Election Commission (EC) has again called on the government and political parties to abide by the election code of conducts in view of the upcoming by-election.
Talking to media persons on Tuesday, Election Commissioner Ishwari Prasad Poudyal said that the EC was hopeful of the full implementation of the election code of conduct as they were prepared by the government and representatives of political parties themselves.
The by-election for the House of Representatives; the State Assembly members and the local level representatives has been slated on November 30.
The election candidates are presently on the election publicity campaign.
EC has already made the government and political parties to sign the commitment letter for making the by-poll free and impartial.
The election code of conduct has been in force since October 25.
