Kathmandu, March 4: President Bidya Devi Bhandari has reappointed Dr Yuba Raj Khatiwada as the Finance Minister today.
The President appointed Dr Khatiwada the Finance Minister as per Article 78 (1) of the Constitution of Nepal and on the recommendation of the Prime Minister, spokesperson at the Office of the President, Hari Prasad Dahal, said.
Dr Khatiwada had tendered resignation from the post of Finance Minister on Tuesday following the termination of his National Assembly membership.
President Bhandari has also assigned Dr Khatiwada to look after the portfolio of the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology also.
The newly-appointed Finance Minister will be administered the oath of office and secrecy at the Office of the President, Sheetal Niwas today itself.
