Okhaldhunga, Jan. 2: A documentary on ‘Pokali Jharna’ (Pokali waterfall) in Okhaldhuga has been made public in Kathmandu.
Pokali Jharna, listed in the top 100 destinations for the visit year 2020, is located in Likhu Rural Municipality Ward-9, Okhaldhunga.
The 133-metre Pokali Fall is the second tallest waterfall in Nepal.
The Pokali waterfall also separates Leti village and Wachpu village of Likhu Gaunpalika-9.
The waterfall flows gracefully in its melody and rhythm from the top of a hill.
People flock here to enjoy the beautiful natural view of the waterfall.
From the Nepali month of Asar to Bhadau, domestic and international tourists enjoy the beautiful Pokali waterfall.
Pokali Jharna, can be reached in one day from Kathmandu via Khurkot and Manthali.
Two routes reach the waterfall from Manthali.
The Pokali Jharna can also be seen from Dhobi Bazaar of Likhutama Koshi Gaunpalika in Manthali, Ramechhap.
Chairman of Pokali Jharna Sewa Samaj, Milan Bista, said that development and pre-construction works are being carried out for the promotion of this waterfall in recent days.
“Therefore, for the promotion of Pokali Jharna, we have made a documentary on it public,” he added.
Three festivals were organised since 2008 BS to promote Pokali Jharna, which has been shrouded in obscurity due to lack of publicity, said the society.
The waterfall has the potential to attract people and anyone can spend hours rejoicing its beauty.
