By Kailash Lama, Charikot, Dec. 20: Spokesperson of the government and Minister for Communications and Information Technology, Parbat Gurung, has said that the Council of Ministers recommended the dissolution of parliament in order to prevent the division of the nation.
Addressing a welcome programme organised by Gauri Shankar Rural Municipality-8, Minister Gurung said, "As various games being played nationally and internationally could invite a serious accident in the nation, the government had to recommend dissolution of parliament before the President to receive the new mandate of the citizens."
Alleging that people within the NCP were involved in various conspiracies, Minister Gurung said that it might invite a serious threat to the nation and nationality. "PM Oli took this step to retain the unity within the nation and to prevent manipulations from foreign nations," he added.
Minister Gurung also called the Nepali citizens to get ready for the mid-term election. "The government is committed to ensuring prosperity and development of the nation," he clarified.
The meeting of the Council of Ministers held on Monday morning had recommended the President to dissolve the federal parliament.
