By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Nov. 1: Chairman of CPN (Maoist Center) Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda has said that the discussions were underway among the political parties with regard to processes of the upcoming elections.
Addressing a greetings exchange programme on the occasion of festivals organised by Nepal National Employees Organisation, Civil employee central committee, the chairman of a major party in the ruling alliance said that the discussion was focused on whether to hold the local, provincial, and federal elections at a one go or in different phases.
Chairman Prachanda observed that if the elections were held at a one-go, it would save state coffer and lessen any difficulty to the people. He said such an election would also be reduced unwanted conspiracies and would also make it easy for the political parties. "If you could provide suggestions on it, it would be better."
The former Prime Minister said that many obstacles had erupted against the consolidation of a federal republican system in the country and pointed at the need for moving ahead by formulating necessary laws.
He said over 90 per cent of civil employees were for changes and progress.
The mouthpiece of the civil employee organization, Parag was also launched in the programme, and the Maoist Chairman said that the magazine would help the political parties to settle the challenges related to politics and bureaucracy.
