By TRN Online, Kathmandu, July 13: Following the Supreme Court's verdict, Nepali Congress (NC) President Sher Bahadur Deuba is being named as the Prime Minister today.
Tika Dhakal, information and communication advisor to President Bidya Devi Bhandari, informed that President Bhandari would appoint Deuba as the Prime Minister today.
The Supreme Court had issued mandamus in the name of the Office of President to appoint Deuba as the Prime Minister within 5:00 pm Tuesday.
Deuba is being appointed as the executive head in line with Article 76 (5) of the Constitution. Prior to this, he had already assumed the position of the executive head of the nation four times.
