Deferred TU exams to be held from mid-August

Kathmandu, July 21: Tribhuvan University (TU) has decided to conduct its deferred examinations of different faculties and levels according to the decisions of the concerned dean offices.
Examination Improvement Committee and Central Examination Board of the varsity had asked the dean offices to develop their own modality of examinations as per upcoming lockdown situation.
Prof. Dr. Pesal Dahal, registrar of the TU, stated that the dean offices could conduct the semester system examinations from the third week of August in their own modality.
The officials of the varsity had earlier developed four modalities of examinations. The models are open book examination model (sending questions to students and students will send the answer after fixed period), conducting examinations by maintaining physical distance, online examinations and the oral examinations through different media.
The varsity has given right to conduct examinations to the dean office only for semester system while the Office of the Controller of the Examinations, Balkhu, itself will conduct the examinations of annual system. And the varsity has been planning to conduct the halted annual examinations from the third week of September. The varsity decided these all for those students who had already filled up examination form and waiting for examinations, registrar Dahal said.
According to Dahal, the varsity asked the dean offices to trace the examinees prior to deciding about the examinations.Due to the lockdown, set examinations of Bachelor of Engineering, Master in Management and other faculties were halted.
