Kathmandu, Apr. 7: The comedy and social drama film Ke Ghar Ke Dera has been announced.
The movie will be directed by Dipendra K Khanal and star Dayahang Rai, Bipin Karki, Barsha Raut and Rabindra Jha, as announced in a press meet held on Tuesday.
The movie had been announced before the COVID-19 pandemic but it is only now going to begin shooting.
According to the production team, the director and actors have been changed since its initial announcement. Director Khanal also informed that the movie had been furthered developed with a story and a new team.
The film had earlier been announced to be directed by film journalist Subrat Raj Acharya.
The shooting is slated to begin from the first week of May and will be done entirely within the Kathmandu Valley, the production team informed.
Director Khanal also stated that he was very excited to be working with actors Rai, Karki and Jha again. He last worked with them on Jhole, Pashupati Prasad and Changa Chet respectively.
In the press meet, Khanal shared that the film would be based on humour derived from the perspectives of landlords and tenants.
Actor Karki asked the audience to rest assured about the quality of the movie as it would be helmed by director Khanal and include such talent as his co-stars.
Actor Rai said that his character was psychologically new in the film produced by Sharad Shrestha, Rajiv Shrestha and Kiran Maharjan and executive produced by Yubraj Karki.
Ke Ghar Ke Dera is set to present the story penned by Singhe Lama, script and dialogues by Mahesh Dawadi and cinematography by Dirgha Gurung.
The production team is preparing to release the movie next year.
