Dhangadi, Mar. 23: The District Administration Office (DAO) in Kailali district has imposed curfew in the district effective from 2pm today until further notice.
This step is taken as a precautionary measure against the COVID-19 as the infection continues to claim thousands of lives across the world.
Issuing a notice here today, the DAO said that the decision to clamp curfew was taken to forbid any public activities and gatherings to occur so as to minimize the risk of flu-like infection.
The 19 essential supplies and services as mentioned in the Nepal gazette will resume despite the curfew. The curfew is imposed as per the Local Administration Act and those breaching the curfew will be booked, the notice reads.
