Kathmandu, May. 10: The Madhav Kumar Nepal-led faction of the ruling CPN-UML has decided to not attend today's special session at the House of Representatives.
The meeting of the Nepal-led group held on Monday morning at Singhadurbar decided to not give a vote of confidence to Prime Minister Oli alleging him of unconstitutionally dissolving the HoR, attempting to divide the political party, and promoting corruption.
Bhim Bahadur Rawal, leader of the Nepal-led faction of CPN-UML said, "The Prime Minister appointed officials in constitutional bodies a day ahead of obtaining the vote of confidence. This step has weakened democracy. Thus, we have decided to not give him the vote of confidence."
It has been said that Nepal's group consists of 22 HoR members.
