By TRN Online, Kathmandu, May 20: The meeting of the Standing Committee of the ruling CPN-UML has kicked off.
Member of the committee Subash Chandra Nembang informed The Rising Nepal that the meeting had started at the Prime Minister's residence in Baluwatar.
It has been said that discussions on current issues would be held in the meeting. Similarly, the meeting of the Council of Ministers is taking place immediately after the Standing Committee meet concludes.
Moreover, the ruling party has formed a 10-member task force to resolve the ongoing differences within the party. The task force is also holding a meeting at 5:00 pm today.
Briefing of the works done by the task force might be done in the Standing Committee meeting.
Meanwhile, a source at CPN-UML informed that Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli was preparing to obtain the vote of confidence from the House of Representatives again.
