By TRN Online, Kathmandu, June 30: The meeting of the organising committee of the 10th General Convention of CPN-UML is being held today.
Sher Bahadur Tamang, secretary at the party office, informed that the meeting would be held at Prime Minister's residence in Baluwatar.
"The meeting will call the central committee meeting and change the organising committee into the party's central committee," said leader Tamang. "Today's meet will probably be the last meeting of the organising committee."
Following the Supreme Court's decision on March 7 to revoke the CPN-UML and NCP (Maoist Centre) unification and reinstate them as individual parties, the CPN-UML had formed the general convention organising committee.
As every leader other than the Chairman and General Secretary were adjusted as the members, the leaders of Madhav Kumar Nepal-led faction were unsatisfied.
Meanwhile, the meeting of the CPN-UML Standing Committee held on Tuesday has decided to reinstate the party to its institutional status before May 16, 2018.
CPN-UML has already called the Standing Committee meeting on Friday. It has been said that all the leaders of the Nepal-led faction would be called in the meeting.
