By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Aug. 3: The Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP) has confirmed 418 new cases of COVID-19 today.
In 7,637 Real-Time Polymerase Chain Reaction (RT-PCR) tests done in the last 24 hours, as many as 418 persons were identified with the virus infection, said Dr. Jageshwor Gautam, spokesperson of the ministry in the daily press briefing today.
The new cases were detected in Sunsari, Jhapa, Morang, Siraha, Saptari, Sarlahi, Mahottari, Dhanusa, Bara, Parsa, Bhaktapur, Kathmandu, Kailali, Kanchanpur, Rasuwa, Rautahat, Lalitpur, Chitwan, Dolakha, Kaski, Syangja, Rupandehi, Banke, Bardiya, Dang, Surkhet, Dailekh, Rukum (West), Kanchanpur, Achcham.
The recovery rate stands at 72.1 per cent and death toll is 0.28 per cent. Likewise, there are 5,732 active cases of COVID-19, which is 27.6 per cent of the total cases of virus infection.
With this, the nation's COVID-19 caseload has reached 20,750 including 14,961 cases of recovery and 57 deaths.
