By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Jan 13: As many as 2,992 people have tested positive for the novel coronavirus in the PCR test of the swab samples of 10,494 people across the country in the last 24 hours.
In the meantime, 631 people were found infected with the same virus in the antigen test of 4,583 people.
When combined, the number of positive cases detected through both the PCR tests and antigen tests in the last 24 hours, the number of new cases in the period reaches 3,553.
According to the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP), 271 people infected with the virus and staying at the home and institutional isolation got over the virus infection in the same period.
A person died of the COVID-19, the disease caused by the novel coronavirus, in the country in the last 24 hours.
Active cases of the novel coronavirus in the country have reached 14, 340.
356 thousand people were vaccinated against the novel coronavirus across the country in the last 24 hours, according to the MoHP.
