By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Dec. 22: As many as 217 people have been found infected with the novel coronavirus in the last 24 hours.
According to the Ministry of Health and Population, infection of the virus was found in 217 people while conducting PCR tests of the swab samples of 7,233 people.
The virus infection was detected in 43 people through the antigen tests of 4000 people.
Meanwhile, 272 people have got over the virus infection in the same period, and the recovery rate in Nepal stands at 97.9 per cent. Two persons have succumbed to the infection in the last 24 hours.
COVID-19 death toll in the country has now reached 11,579.
There are 5,185 active cases of the virus in the country as of today, according to the MoHP.
