Surkhet, April 2 : The COVID-19 test lab has come into operation in Surkhet today. The testing process has begun in the State Hospital after the Ministry of Health and Population provided testing machine, kits and necessary human resources.
According to hospital director Dr Dambar Khadka, the swab would be collected from the suspected ones of coronavirus and tested in the lab. He added that all the preparations for the lab test has completed and will come into operation today itself. The Ministry has assigned National Public Health Laboratory’s specialist Dr Ram Krishna Shrestha as the expert technologist for the purpose. Shrestha would impart training to lab technicians staying here for about a week.
