Biratnagar, March 26 : The COVID-19 Prevention Fund, established by State-1 government, is receiving more financial support from various areas. The State-1 Chief Minister and Ministers have announced their one month salary contribution to the fund. Similarly, State Chief Soma Nath Adhikari ‘Pyasi’, Speaker Pradeep Kumar Bhandari and Deputy Speaker Saraswati Pokharel have also announced to contribute their one month salary to the fund.
Likewise, 21 state lawmakers from Nepali Congress have decided to support their 15-day salary to the fund, said NC leader Rajiv Koirala.
Meanwhile, 47 persons entering to Nepal via Indo-Nepal border checkpoints have kept in quarantine, DSP Man Bahadur Rai said. He added that the police have stepped up patrol to make people follow lockdown and stay in self quarantine in different areas.
In this connection, police on Wednesday impounded some vehicles found violating the enforcement of lockdown. The local administration has facilitated supply of vegetables, fruits and daily consumable goods via online options, he said. -------
