Ilam, Sept 30: Former speaker and chairman of former Constituent Assembly (CA) Subash Nembang said on Monday that the constitution could be amended after convincing the people for the same.
Inaugurating the third district assembly of Ilam amidst a programme, the Nepal Communist Party (NCP) parliamentary deputy leader said that the constitution was changeable and it could be amended at any time.
The incumbent government was formed by the people, he said, adding that the constitution was drafted following tremendous efforts and a long struggle was in the phase of implementation.
The leader said he was making efforts to expand electricity and transport facilities in his home district. As he said, he had won the 2056 BS election from here; the district had no electricity and transport facilities. "Anyone can feel the change here since then."
As he said, he was doing his best to connect every household to electricity in the district.
