Pokhara, June 21 : Chief Minister of Gandaki State Prithvi Subba Gurung today stressed the need for collective efforts to fight COVID-19.
"People in mass should be aware of the pandemic. One and all should do their best in preventing and controlling the infection," he said at an event to distribute health appliances organised here at the Office of Chief Minister and Council of Ministers by Rotary Club of Pokhara.
On the occasion, President of Rotary Club in Pokhara, Gopal Dhoju handed medical appliances including 10,000 facemasks and 2,500 face shields among others provided by the Rotary International to CM Gurung.
Likewise, Kiran Lal Shrestha, Governor of the Rotary International District 3292 Nepal-Bhutan, informed that the Rotary has donated medical instruments and relief materials worth Rs 170 million to Nepal so far. Efforts were on to provide two PCR machines to the State in two weeks, he said. The event was participated by office bearers of the Rotary Club, Pokhara.
