Kathmandu, Jan. 8: The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology (DHM) has predicated partly to generally cloud cover throughout the country on Saturday.
According to DHM, the current low pressure system is in a weak state, and another low pressure system will enter from western Nepal on Saturday.
Light to moderate snowfall is expected in mountains and high hills of Sudurpaschim Province, Karnali Province, Lumbini Province and Gandaki Province till Sunday. There is a possibility of light snow in some other places.
There will be normal to full cloud cover in Sudurpaschim, Karnali, Gandaki and Lumbini provinces and partial to normal cloud cover in Province No. 1, Province No. 2 and Bagmati on Saturday and Sunday. Light rain is likely to occur in a few places of the country. There are chances of light to moderate snowfall at some places of the high mountainous region, Sameer Shrestha, senior meteorologist at DHM, said.
