By TRN Online, Dec.28: The Chinese delegation led by Vice-Minister of the International Department of the Communist Party of China, Guo Yezhou, met the Chairman of Nepal Communist Party (Prachanda-Nepal) Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda' and Madhav Kumar Nepal today separately.

The delegation met Chairman Prachanda at his residence in Khumaltar and senior leader Nepal at New Baneshwor.

According to Bishnu Sapkota, the press advisor of Prachanda, discussions between the Chinese team and Prachanda were centered on Nepal's contemporary political situation and relations between the two countries. He said the discussion lasted approximately an hour where Chairman Prachanda told that he and the party both were looking forward to giving a new height to the relation between the two nations.

It has been understood that the Chinese team's queries were regarding the issue of party split and its possible solution. The team had reached Khumaltar around 9 am.

Meanwhile, the Chinese team met Madhav Kumar Nepal today at Everest Hotel in New Baneshwor at 11 am.

The delegation team had paid a courtesy call to the Prime Minister and the Chairman of Nepal Communist Party (Oli faction) KP Sharma Oli yesterday evening at the PM's residence in Baluwatar.

During the meeting, the leader of the CCPID had conveyed New Year's Greetings from the General Secretary of the Communist Party of China and Chinese President Xi Jinping to the Chairman of the NCP and the Prime Minister. He had also shared CCP’s views on Nepal and China relations as well as relations between NCP and CCP.
