Kathmandu, Oct 9: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli's Foreign Affairs advisor Dr. Rajan Bhattarai said on Wednesday that the Nepal visit of Chinese President Xi Jinping would be historic as the high level visit was taking place after 23 years.
In an interaction here, Dr. Bhattarai said that the visit would further harmonize bilateral relations between people to people as well.
He shared that various agreements would be signed during the visit.
The Chinese special delegates led by President Xi would hold delegation-level official talks with Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli during the visit.
Similarly, former Minister for Foreign Affairs Dr. Prakash Sharan Mahat, also a leader of main opposition Nepali Congress, said that his party would welcome President Xi’s visit.
Dr. Mahat stressed on developing the country’s foreign ties based on mutual benefit.
He maintained that the government should pay attention to implementing China's mega project BRI.
