Kathmandu, Nov 2 : Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has expressed his confidence that festival like Chhath would further foster the humanitarian sentiments.
In a message of best wishes extended on the occasion of Chhath festival today, the PM extended best wishes to all Nepalis at home and abroad observing the Chhath festival and wished for the health, longevity and
prosperity. Chhath festival is celebrated today mostly among the Madheshi communities in Terai.
PM Oli has recounted the Chhath to be the festival of gratitude, light and life. "It is a festival of warmth, light and gratitude. It is also a festival of life and creations," said PM Oli in a message, adding,"It is a festival where the Sun is worshipped and extolled as a God." Oli also viewed, "The Chhath festival encourages everyone to move towards brightness and prosperity." He said that Sun is regarded as a God as well as the creator of nine planets and the first God."
