Dailekh, Dec 22 : Cadres of the banned Communist Party of Nepal led by Netra Bikram Chand have reportedly abducted Dhir Bahadur Shahi, chairperson of Thatikandh rural municipality in Dailekh district, and his spouse Ila Malla Shahi from their home at the rural municipality-2.
A group of party's 15 cadres kidnapped the couple from their home at 12 pm recently, said the District Police Office, Dailekh.
However, the woman was found at Batahaleka, a bordering village at Dailekh and Kalikot districts at 9am the following day of the fateful day, said the rural municipality.
A search has been launched on Shahi after being informed about the abduction, said Hari Bahadur Oli, chief of the District Police Office.
Nartam Bahadur Budha, ward chair of the rural municipality-1, confirmed the abduction. "I have been informed that Ila was found. But the whereabouts of Dhir Bahadur still remain unknown," he said.
