By Lucky Chaudhary, Kathmandu, Dec. 24: The Central Committee meeting of the Nepal Communist Party (NCP) Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli-led faction is being held today afternoon at the Prime Minister's residence, Baluwatar.
Deepak Sapkota, a Central Committee member informed The Rising Nepal that the oath-taking ceremony for the new members would be held in the meeting.
"Similarly, today's meeting will also divide the works and responsibilities of the party leaders and will decide on amending the party's statute," said Sapkota, adding "District-level meets and training programmes will be taken forward post today's meeting."
Meanwhile, the Central Committee meeting of the Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda' and Madhav Kumar Nepal-led faction is also scheduled for today at 11:00 am.
Yubaraj Gyawali, a leader, informed that the meeting had been called at Karki Banquet, Babarmahal to divide the works among the leaders. "Decisions regarding demonstration programmes will also be made in the meeting," added Gyawali. "After today's meeting, preparations for training programmes will be done."
Both the rival factions of the ruling NCP have already submitted their documents at the Election Commission. The Commission has said that decision as to which faction should be provided with the legitimacy of NCP would be taken soon.
