Gaighat, Dec 15 (RSS):
Bailey-bridge over the Sunkoshi River along the Gaighat-Diktel road section in Gaighat, Udayapur, has come into operation after six months' closure.
Nearly two and half dozen of small and big vehicles had passed through the bridge on Saturday alone, according to Gaighat-Diktel Road Office's technician Rajendra Joshi.
The road section links Gaighat in Udayapur with Diktel in Khotang district.
The bailey –bridge is installed during the winter while it is removed after the water level in Sunkoshi River swells, especially during the monsoon, informed technician Joshi.
The bailey-bridge was built temporarily since the construction of other concrete bridge over the Sunkoshi River has remained incomplete for nine years now.
