Kathmandu, Aug. 26: Mechanised Units of Nepali Army are taking to the streets for vehicle driving exercise in order to enhance the overall driving skills of the Armoured Personal Carrier (APC) and Mine Protected Vehicle (MPV) in the Capital.
According to a press note issued by the Directorate of Public Relations and Information of the Army Headquarters on Tuesday evening, mechanized unit from Sitapaila-based army office is taking out vehicle exercises of the APCs and MPVs before their departure to different UN peacekeeping missions.
The exercises will begin in the Ring Road of the Capital on August 30, September 27, November 1 and 29, December 27, 2021.
Similarly, it has published schedules to conduct similar exercises on January 24, 2022, March 7 and 28.
According to the press note, the APCs and MPVs will do the exercises along with Ring Road of Kathmandu in the night in coordination with the local administration and police.
Similarly, other respective companies stationed in Itahari, Mahottari, Makwanpur, Tanahu, Butwal, Nepalganj and Dhangadhi are planning to conduct the exercise on different dates.
