PM Deuba in disaster-hit areas
By Muna Hamal, Surkhet, Oct. 21: Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba has said that additional relief will be provided after studying the damage caused by the incessant rains. Talking to media persons at Surkhet Airport while inspecting the flood and landslide affected areas in the far western region, he said that the floods and landslides have caused irreparable damage to Nepal.
He said that the government has made arrangements for relief and further relief will be provided through on-site study. He said, "Floods and landslides have caused massive loss of life and property. This is an irreparable loss for Nepal. I am going to inspect the affected area. The government will study and provide additional relief. ''
Prime Minister Deuba said that he would talk to the international community about the impact of climate change. He said, ‘Climate change has had a big impact on Nepal. Nepal will also talk about this in the international arena."
