By Muna Hamal, Surkhet, Oct. 21: Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba has said that additional relief will be distributed by conducting a detailed study of the damage caused by incessant rainfall in the past few days.
Prime Minister Deuba had inspected the landslide-affected areas in Sudurpaschim Province on Thursday morning. Addressing the media at Surkhet Airport, he said that the rain-induced disasters had caused an irreparable loss in the country.
Stating that the government had already managed relief packages for the victims, PM Deuba said that additional relief would be provided by conducting a field study of the loss caused by the rain-induced disasters.
He added that he would raise concerns in international platforms about the impact of climate change.
