Dadeldhura, Nov. 3: Acting Prime Minister Bal Krishna Khand inspected flood-hit areas at Ganyapdhura Rural Municipality ward no 1 and 3 in Dadeldhura district today.
Ganyapdhura Rural Municipality chair Nawalpur Malla presented the details of the loss incurred due to the recent unseasonal rain-triggered landslide and flood and handed over a memo for relocation of the human settlements at risk of natural disasters.
Acting PM Khand pledged the earliest support from the government for relief packages to the disaster survivors as well as for reconstruction of disaster-damaged houses.
As many as 250 households were at risk of landslides and floods and a huge stretch of arable land was washed away by the flood in Dadeldhura.
Acting PM Khand arrived in Dadeldhura in course of inspection of the flood and landslide-hit districts such as Bajhang and Baitadi in Sudurpaschim province.
