Kathmandu, Oct.7: Shooting of A Mero Hajur 4 was supposed to start from last Friday, but the government did not give permission to shoot the movie citing the COVID-19 fear.
The film with actor Anamol KC and actress Suhana Thapa in lead role is waiting to complete its shooting once the government lifts the ban imposed on film shooting.
Producer Sunil Kumar Thapa told The Rising Nepal, “We are in ready position and waiting for the government permission to complete the remaining shooting of our movie.”
He said that after allowing operation of many areas, including public vehicles, hotels and restaurants and the international flights, the government should now allow resumption of the film industry.
“Coronavirus is a global problem that we must face and accept. In a country like Nepal, hunger is likely to kill more people than the disease. Even if work of my film is stopped, about 125 people will lose their job,” said Thapa.
Shooting of the film that began in February with the aim of releasing it this Dashain festival was halted after the enforcement of lockdown in March.
If the government opens the film industry, AMH4 team has a plan to complete its shooting and release the film in Nepali New Year.
Stating that all the preparations have been completed to reseume the shooting of the film, Thapa said that the remaining scenes of the movie could be done in about 25 days if they got permission to resume its shooting.
Producer Thapa is hoping that the government would allow filming in a few days.
Jharna Thapa is the director of the film and 50 per cent of its shooting works were completed before the lockdown.
Salon Basnet is also doing an important role in the movie. Popular singer and model Durgesh Thapa will also appear in the movie, said Thapa.
Thapa is hoping to go for shooting from coming Friday.
